Volleyball Notes
- After completing the season sweep against the Tampa Spartans, the Lions turn their eyes toward tough competition on Friday night when they travel to undefeated No. 3 Palm Beach Atlantic.
- The Lions enter at 14-5, 8-3 SSC and are on a two-game win streak after defeating Florida Tech 3-1 (Oct. 21) and Tampa 3-1 (Oct. 24).
- In the win over Tampa, Britt Sederholm paced the Lions with a double-double with match-high 13 kills and team-high 15 digs. Anna Garrett recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 40 assists and 15 digs.
- Ashley Quero continues to lead Saint Leo on the season with 191 total kills at 2.69 per set. Victoria Omoregie is a close second with 184 kills at 2.52/set. Anna Garrett is the team leader in assists with 666 for an average of 9.12 per set. Jenya Kruglova has played a majority of the season as libero and has scooped up 318 digs to lead the Green and Gold. Kruglova averages 4.36 per set.
- PBA enters on a 20 win streak with a most recent sweep of Embry-Riddle on Oct. 24. The Sailfish were a mainstay at No. 4 in the AVCA top 25 Coaches Poll and moved up to No. 3 in the most recent poll.
- On the year, Ally Rohn leads the Sailfish in kills with 237, and assists at 362 and is second on the team in digs with 207. Susie Forbes leads the team in digs with 285. Molly Burkhardt is second on the team in assists with 358.
- Rollins will host Eckerd and Saint Leo this weekend where they enter after dropping their Tuesday match 3-0 at Florida Tech. The Tars are led by Bri Civiero with 256 kills on the season, six ahead of Shannon McDonough at 250. McDonough is second on the team in digs with 209 behind Rachel Fletcher's 223.
- Cassidy Cason has tallied 718 assists on the year and averages 10.26 per set.

- #21 SAINT LEO vs #4 PBA – Sept. 23 PBA def. SLU 3-0 (27-25, 25-20, 25-23); Despite falling 3-0 to the Sailfish, the Lions were led by Victoria Omoregie who put down 12 kills. Anna Garrett led the team in assists with 30 where Jenya Kruglova scooped up 12 digs in the match. The Sailfish failed to get a player in double-digit kills but walked away with the sweep. PBA was led by Ally Rohn with eight kills where Jazz Schmidt tallied eight as well. Rohn dished out team-high 17 assists with teammate Molly Burkhardt. Raegen Grooms, Burkhardt and Susie Forbes tallied double-digit digs with 15, 12, and 10, respectively.
- #21 SAINT LEO vs ROLLINS – Sept. 22 SLU def. RC 3-1 (25-15, 25-13, 20-25, 25-20); After a 2-0 start, the Lions dropped the third set before taking the fourth for the win. Omoregie paced the Lions in kills with 18 where freshman Ashley Quero tallied 17 right behind. Garrett notched a double-double with match-high 47 assists and 10 digs where Kruglova and Britt Sederholm scooped up 16 and 14 digs, respectively. The Tars were paced by Shannon McDonough with 16 kills and Bri Civiero with 10 as Cassidy Cason recorded a double-double in assists and digs with 33 and 13. McDonough notched her double-double with 10 digs.

- The fall slate for Saint Leo Tennis continues this weekend at the Bethune-Cookman College Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational. Named after former B-CC tennis standout Juan Varon, who passed away in a car accident in September 2013, the tournament is played on the clay courts at the Florida Tennis Center.
- Saint Leo is coming off successful appearances at the Rollins College C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational. In the men's draws, Vincent Suillerot captured the A Flight men's singles championship while Willem van den Akker won D Flight singles. In the women's brackets, Madeleine Gauthier captured B Flight singles, and Andrada Gordan was victorious at C Flight singles. Gordan and Marta Vicens Miquel reached the A Flight doubles championship match.
