AS A FRESHMAN (2009)
Gonzalez became a regular in the lineup for Lions, appearing in 43 of 55 total contests, and making 34 starts…The freshman concluded the 2009 campaign with a .204 batting average (19-for-93), 12 runs scored, and four Runs Batted In…She contributed with three extra-base hits and tallied three multiple-hit games, including her first career hit against Tarleton State (02/05/09)…In a doubleheader against Salem International (03/04/09), Gonzalez went 5-for-7 with three runs scored and a RBI… In the outfield, Gonzalez had 24 put-outs and one outfield assist while collecting a personal best four put-outs in two games.

CAREER
Gonzalez was a starter on her varsity softball team for three seasons…Was named Most Improved Player for Riverview HS in 2006…Received All County honorable mention, while leading her high school in on-base and fielding percentage…Was named to the All County second team in 2007.
