SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University volleyball team closed out action at the 2026 Lions / Tritons Invitational co-hosted by Saint Leo and Eckerd College. Saint Leo hosted four matches inside the Marion Bowman Activities Center Saturday including the Lions' battle with Georgia College which Saint Leo won 3-1.
 
The victory moves the Lions' record to 4-6 on the year while Georgia College fell to 2-10. The Lions took the opening set 25-22 before the Bobcats stormed back in the second and took a 25-14 victory. The Lions rebounded and closed the match with 25-21 and 25-17 set wins in the third and fourth.
 
Junior Gina Stavile led the offensive attack for Saint Leo as she tallied 15 kills, three blocks, five digs and a service ace. Freshman Shelby Toney joined Stavile in double-figures with 10 kills and six digs. Freshman setter Jansen Warbritton had a great all-around performance as she handed out 32 assists while picking up a team-best 16 digs. She also collected a career-high five kills on just nine attempts for a .556 hitting percentage.
 
Junior libero Mia Moser had a career-night at the service line as she posted a career-best eight service aces to go along with 12 digs. Graduate student Giada Solorzano, who was coming off a career-high digs performance in yesterday's nightcap, finished with 10 digs and a pair of service aces.
 
Overall, the Lions tallied 16 service aces compared to Georgia College's three. The Bobcats had six more kills and eight more digs than the Lions but it was not enough in the end.
 
The Lions will be back in action Friday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. as Saint Leo hosts Florida Southern in both team's Sunshine State Conference opener.
