BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Saint Leo baseball team lost its series-opener versus Lynn on the road on Friday afternoon by a 16-0 margin.
Offensively, the Lions were led by junior
Camdin Jansen, who tallied two hits on three at-bats along with redshirt sophomore Jake Carillo and senior
Thomas DeBrower with one hit each.
On the mound, junior
Cian Phillips started and pitched 2.1 innings as he struck out one batter and surrendered five runs (four earned) on two hits while issuing four walks. In relief, freshman
Aiden Smarrito had 2.2 innings of work with a pair of strikeouts in addition to allowing five runs (all earned) on four hits.
Saint Leo will conclude its series with Lynn tomorrow, Saturday, May 2 with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
