SAINT LEO, Fla. – The fifth-ranked Saint Leo University men's tennis team opened postseason play  in Boca Raton on Friday morning. The Lions earned a first round bye in the 2026 Sunshine State Conference championship. Saint Leo took on #8 Rollins on Friday morning and saw its chances at title end with a 4-3 loss. The Lions fall to 13-5 overall.
 
The Tars took the early lead with a 3-0 sweep of the doubles courts. Saint Leo's top to pairs fell in tiebreakers.

The Lions got three singles wins at numbers two, four, and one. Jose Segovia Perez opened singles play with a straight set win, 6-2 and 6-3. Kodai Kato followed with a 6-3, 6-1 victory for a 2-1 advantage. Rollins rallied for wins at number five and three to take a 3-2 advantage. Dylan Andrianaly earned a win at number one singles to tie the match at 3-3. Thomas Buchard took the first set in a tiebreaker (9-7) but dropped the second and third set as Rollins advanced to the finals match.
