SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Saint Leo baseball team lost 11-7 in its series finale versus Lander on Saturday afternoon in non-conference play.

Roberto Odor from third to cut the deficit to 10-4 followed by both junior Jake Carillo and Vickers scoring on a throwing error by the Bearcats. The Green & Gold trailed 10-6. Senior
Dylan Mass laced an RBI-single to right field that brought classmate
Thomas DeBrower in to score. However, in the eighth, Lander tallied an insurance run to lead by an 11-7 margin while Saint Leo was held scoreless.
On the mound, junior
Flynn Howard started and pitched 6.0 innings. He collected five strikeouts while allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits. The Washington D.C. native was dealt a no-decision in his solid outting.
The Lions return to action on Friday, May 1 as they travel to face Lynn in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) series-opener, starting at 6 p.m.
