SAINT LEO, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Saint Leo University men's tennis team won its fourth straight win over a ranked opponent with a 6-1 victory over #11 Rollins on Thursday. The Lions clinched the doubles point before a two-set victory by #9 Jose David Segoiva clinched the match victory for the home team. Saint Leo improves to 11-2 overall and 4-1 in SSC play. The Lions ended the Tars six-game win streak to drop them to 12-2 and 3-2 in SSC contests.
 
The Lions set the tone early by claiming the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. The #2-ranked pair of Kodai Kato and Jose David Segovia rolled to a 6-1 victory at number one, while Eduardo Cohen and Shay Sarfati followed with a 6-4 win at number two to secure the early lead.

Saint Leo carried that momentum into singles, winning five of the six matches to seal the victory. Mahit Mekala earned a straight-set win at number five singles to open singles play with a victory. Segovia controlled play at number two with a straight-set win, while Cohen and Kato matched that effort with convincing victories at number three and four.

Shay Sarfati capped the match with a three-set comeback at No. 6, bouncing back after dropping the first set to win 2-6, 6-1, 6-4. Rollins' lone point came at No. 1 singles in a three-set battle.
