SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University men's tennis team earned its second straight victory over a ranked opponent. Filippo Caporali battled to a three-set victory to clinch the win for the Lions. Saint Leo saw a 3-0 lead become a 3-3 tie before Caporali sealed the win. The Lions improve to 7-1 overall, while Lakers fall to 6-4.
 
The Lions claimed the doubles point with a clean sweep of all three doubles courts. #8 Kodai Kato and Jose David Segovia opened the match with a 6-3 win at number one doubles. Eduardo Cohen and Shay Sarfati clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at number three doubles. Dylan Andrianaly and Filippo Caporali made it 3-for-3 for Saint Leo with a 6-3 win at number two doubles.
 
Dylan Andrianaly and Jose David Segovia won in two sets each to put Saint Leo up 3-0. The Lakers won three straight singles courts to tie the match at 3-3. Caporali won the match for Saint Leo with a 6-2 win in the first set before rallying for a 6-3 win in the third set to earn the win.
