SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University men's tennis team took down a top-15 team in the Mississippi College Choctaws on Thursday. the top-ranked Barry Buccaneers in SSC action on Saturday. Eduardo Cohen clinched the match victory over the Choctaws with a win at number three singles. The Lions improve to 4-1 overall, while #11 Mississippi College falls to 8-3.
 
The Lions claimed the doubles point with wins at number three and one doubles. Cohen and Shay Sarfati opened the match with a 6-2 win. The eighth-ranked doubles pair of Kodai Kato and Jose David Segovia clinched the early lead with a 6-4 win over the #17 pair of Mattia Ricci and Matias Ruiz.

Newly ranked #41 in singles, Jose David Segovia opened singles play with a 6-1 and 6-4 set wins to give Saint Leo a 2-0 lead. Kodai Kato earned his second win of the match to bring the home to 3-0. Cohen won the first set 7-5 and clinched the match victory for the Green & Gold with a 6-4 win in the second set.
