SAINT LEO, Fla. - The 15th-ranked Saint Leo University men's tennis team took on the top-ranked Barry Buccaneers in SSC action on Saturday. The Lions earned singles wins from Jose David Segovia and Kodai Kato but it was not enough as the Bucs won 5-2. This was Saint Leo's first loss of the season dropping the overall record to 4-1 and 2-1 in SSC contests. The Buccaneers remain perfect at 9-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
 
Barry claimed the early lead with doubles wins at number two and one. Eduardo Cohen and Shay Sarfati played to a tiebreaker but lost the tie break giving the visitors wins on all three double courts.

Kodai Kato tied the match at 1-1 with a win at number four singles The visitors rallied off three straight singles wins to clinch the SSC victory. Jose David Segovia secured a win at number two singles. After dropping the first set 4-6, Segovia rallied to win both the second and third sets to earn the win.
