SAINT LEO, Fla. – The fifteenth ranked Saint Leo University men's tennis team improved to 7-3 on the season with a 7-0 victory over the Findlay Oilers on Saturday morning at the Saint Leo Tennis Center. The Lions earned the doubles point before winning five straight singles matches in straight sets before completing the sweep with a tiebreaker win at number four singles.

Kodai Kato and Jose David Segovia opened the match with a 6-1 win at number two doubles. Dylan Andrianaly and Vincent Thiel clinched the doubles point for the Lions with a 6-2 win at number one doubles. Findlay got earned its lone win on the day at number three doubles but that did not matter as the Lions had already clinched the doubles point.  

Eduardo Cohen opened singles play with a 6-0 and 6-1 win to give the Lions a 2-0 advantage. Taiyo Hirano gave the Lions a 3-0 lead with 6-1 and 6-0 wins. Andrianaly clinched the match victory for the home team with a 6-4 and 6-0 win at number two singles. #12 Vincent Thiel added to the Lions lead with a pair of 6-4 wins at number one singles. After a 6-1 win in the first set, Segovia clinched the victory at number three singles with a 7-5 win in the second set. Kodai Kato closed out the match with a victory in the tiebreaker winning, 7-5, 2-6, and 10-6.
