SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo baseball team lost both games of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) doubleheader against Palm Beach Atlantic at home on Saturday afternoon. The Lions lost game one by a 9-2 margin before losing game two 8-3.
Game One: Palm Beach Atlantic 9, Saint Leo 2
Freshman
Logan Dichler gave the Lions an early 1-0 lead following a sacrifice bunt to score sophomore Jake Carillo. The Sailfish tallied seven consecutive runs to claim a 7-1 margin by the seventh inning. Junior
Ryan Crivello notched an RBI single to left center to trim the deficit to 7-2. In the eighth, Palm Beach Atlantic recorded a pair of runs on a double to right field, 9-2.
Graduate student
Kyle Scrape started for Saint Leo and pitched 5.0 innings as he surrendered six runs (three earned) on eight hits while registering six strikeouts. In relief, freshman
Nick Wilson pitched 3.0 innings and tallied a pair of strikeouts.
Game Two: Palm Beach Atlantic 8, Saint Leo 3

Dawson Turner pitched 5.0 innings in game two and registered five strikeouts with two earned runs on five hits. Senior
Aedan Walter pitched 3.2 innings in relief and posted a strikeout.
Saint Leo returns to action on Friday, March 7 as it hosts Bloomfield in a non-conference game, starting at 6 p.m.
