BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Saint Leo University volleyball team had a tough task to open the weekend with a trip to Boca Raton to face the defending champions #9 Lynn Fighting Knights on Friday night. The Lions showed composure against the nation's ninth-ranked team, keeping rallies competitive in each set despite the 3-0 result.
Gina Stavile led the Lions with seven kills, while
Brielle Kallberg added five on a .308 hitting percentage, and setter
Tajma Muharemovic tallied 13 assists and six digs.
Saint Leo hit .023 as a team with 18 kills and 16 errors on 87 attempts in the road match up at Lynn.

Brielle Kallberg followed with five kills on .308 hitting.
Kaitlyn Anderson made the most of limited swings with two kills on a .500 hitting percentage, and
Paula Perez Rosales chipped in two kills and three digs. Muharemovic recorded 13 assists, three kills, and six digs, while libero
Giada Solorzano added five digs.
Mia Moser contributed two kills on .667 hitting and three digs, and
Anastasia Azzan served up two aces.

Set 1 | Lynn 25, Saint Leo 9
The Lions faced a tough opening frame against the defending national champions but remained aggressive, led by early kills from Kallberg and Stavile. Muharemovic distributed the offense across multiple hitters, but Lynn's .444 team hitting percentage proved too much as the Fighting Knights took the opener 25-9.
Set 2 | Lynn 25, Saint Leo 17
Saint Leo found better rhythm in the second set, improving to a .138 hitting percentage while keeping pace through the midway point. Stavile sparked the attack with four kills in the frame, and Anderson added energy with two well-timed swings. Muharemovic and Moser steadied the Lions' defense, helping extend several rallies before Lynn closed out the set 25-17.
Set 3 | Lynn 25, Saint Leo 12
The Lions continued to compete in the third, highlighted by kills from Kallberg and Perez Rosales that kept the score tight early. Stavile added two late kills, and Muharemovic guided the offense with efficient ball control. Despite the effort, Lynn's .361 hitting percentage in the set helped the nationally ranked hosts secure the sweep.
