ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on the road Saturday night against Flagler in non-conference play at Saints Field.
Flagler struck early in the first half, breaking through in the 10th minute to give the Saints a 1-0 advantage. The hosts doubled their lead in the 36th minute to make it 2-0.
Despite trailing early, the Lions generated offensive pressure with seven total shots and four on target. Sophomore Luis Gaitán and Senior
Anel Rojas each recorded a pair of shots on goal to pace the Saint Leo attack.
In goal, senior
Pablo Bas Colomer logged one save over the full 90 minutes. The Lions also earned 10 corner kicks, applying steady pressure throughout both halves.
Saint Leo returns to the pitch on Wednesday, October 29, as it hosts Rollins on Senior Night, in a Sunshine State Conference bout, with kick off slated for 7 p.m.
