Caleb Adams on a groundout to first base as the lions gained a 4-0 edge. The Fighting Knights trimmed their deficit to 4-1 in the bottom half of the fifth followed by Lynn plating another run in the sixth on a single to center field, 4-2. Moss went 2-for-4 at the dish while recording three RBI which included his two-run jack in the eighth. Benson tallied two hits and scored a run while Anderson rounded the bases twice and posted a pair of hits with an RBI. On the mound, senior
Luke Lashutka started for the Lions and struck out eight batters as he allowed two runs (both earned) on seven hits in 7.0 innings.
Saint Leo returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, April 20 as it concludes the three-game series at Lynn with a doubleheader, starting at 12 p.m.
