SAINT LEO, Fla. – The third-ranked Saint Leo University men's tennis team won its 10th straight match and improved to 11-0 at home in 2024 with a 5-2 win over Franklin Pierce University. The Lions moved to 16-1 on the season following the victory over the Ravens at the Saint Leo Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lions earned the doubles point with victories at doubles one and three. Luis Iriarte and Eduardo Cohen opened the match with a 6-3 win. Alejandro Ley and Jinsei Tajima clinched the doubles point for the home team with a 6-4 win at number three doubles.
 
Saint Leo won four of the six singles matches to clinch its 16th win of the season. Eduardo Cohen opened singles play with a 6-2 and 6-0 victory for a 2-0 match lead. Luis Iriarte won 6-3, 6-1 followed by a tie breaker win in the third set by Elliot Jarosz to clinch the match. Viktor Ek Johansson earned a straight set victory to put the Lions up 5-0 with identical 6-1 wins.
