Men's Basketball Falls to Rollins in 93-74 Loss

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo Lions men's basketball team suffered a tough loss to the Rollins College Tars at home on Wednesday night. The Lions held strong in the first half trailing by ten at the break. Saint Leo falls to 9-13 overall and 3-7 in SSC play.

The game began with Rollins establishing an early lead, outscoring Saint Leo 46-36 in the first half. Matheus Silveira led the charge for Rollins, delivering an outstanding performance with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Kyle Marion and Sergey Grishaev also made significant contributions, tallying 18 and 16 points respectively, showcasing Rollins' offensive depth and efficiency.

Despite the loss, the Lions showed resilience and fought until the final buzzer. Joseph Locandro led the Lions in scoring with 16 points, while Cantia Rahming added 14 points and 8 rebounds. Kanon Koster contributed 13 points, demonstrating the Lions' offensive versatility.

However, Saint Leo struggled to contain Rollins' offensive firepower, particularly in the second half, where Rollins continued to extend their lead. Despite their efforts, the Lions couldn't overcome the deficit, ultimately falling to Rollins in a hard-fought contest.

Saint Leo is off this weekend before hitting the road to take on Florida Southern (Feb. 14).
