WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The 10th-ranked Saint Leo baseball team split a Sunshine State Conference (SSC) doubleheader at Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday afternoon as the Lion won game one, 5-0, followed by losing game two, 6-3. With today's split, Saint Leo won the weekend series 2-1 and moved to 9-2 overall this season with a 2-1 mark in league action.

Josh Davis gave the Lions a 1-0 advantage in the first inning with an RBI-single to right field to drive in classmate

Luke Lashutka earned the victory and improved to 4-0 this year as he held the Sailfish scoreless and struck out seven batters while only surrendering six hits in 8.0 innings.
Game Two: PBA 6, #10 Saint Leo 3
PBA claimed a 4-0 lead after the fourth inning. During the seventh, graduate student
Giuseppe Arcuri reached first base on a fielder's choice as classmate
Luke Houin scored from third base to trim the Sailfish advantage to 4-1. However, in the bottom of the seventh, PBA answered with an RBI-single to left field to lead 5-1. Saint Leo tallied a pair of runs in the eighth inning from sacrifice-flies as sophomore
Dylan Mass batted-in Adams followed by Houin bringing in Anderson off a fly-ball to left field as PBA's margin was cut to 5-3. However, the Sailfish added a run in the eighth to stretch their lead to 6-3. The Lions were able to a pair of baserunners on in the ninth but could not bring them home. Sophomore
Sam Cole started on the bump for Saint Leo in game two. Cole allowed six hits and three earned runs in 2.0 innings. In relief, senior
Aedan Walter pitched 3.0 innings and tallied three strikeouts while surrendering five hits and one run. Additionally, senior
Kaelan Racculia struck out a pair of batters and allowed four hits in 2.0 innings on the mound.
