Saint Leo, Fla. - In a nail-biting clash at the Marion Bowman Center, the Saint Leo Lions battled fiercely against the Florida Southern Moccasins, ultimately falling short in a close encounter that ended 100-98.

From the opening tip-off, both teams showcased their offensive abilities, setting the stage for a high-scoring contest. The first half witnessed a back-and-forth battle, with the Moccasins gaining a slight edge, leading 47-43 at halftime.

The Lions, determined to mount a comeback, showcased an outstanding second-half performance.
Greyson Pritzl led the charge with a 24-point contribution to spark the Lions in second half.
Cantia Rahming's double-double (19 points, 14 rebounds) and
Grant Disken chipped in with 21 points, including crucial three-pointers that kept the Lions in contention.

Despite a remarkable effort in the second half, the Lions couldn't quite catch up to the Moccasins. The game saw 19 lead changes and was tied 10 times, showing the intensity of the matchup.

The Lions displayed impressive shooting percentages, hitting 48% from the field and 44% from the three-point line. The Lions found themselves down four with 14 seconds to go and Rahming's layup cut it to two. Â A loose ball foul on the inbound put the Lions at the line with a chance to tie it with 1.7 remaining but couldn't sink the free throws. The Lions fought hard showing their pride and determination throughout the whole game.
