SAINT LEO, Fla – The Saint Leo Men's Soccer team tops Mars Hill 3-1.

Mars Hill got off to a quick start when a goal by Diego Fernandez hit the net and put the home side up  1-0 early in the sixth minute.

In the 33rd minute,
Anel Rojas struck the back of the net after receiving the assist from
Sam Mitchell.
Â
The battle of the Lions went into halftime tied 1-1.
Â
Less than a minute into the second half, Edorado Degl'innocenti scored his third goal of the season to put the Green & Gold ahead 2-1.

The Lions put the dagger in against Mars Hill when Rojas secured a brace in the 54th minute to give the Lions the 3-1 edge.

The Lions saw the game out and achieved their first win of the season.

Saint Leo had 10 shots total with five on target.

The Lions are next in action on the road Wednesday, September 20th as they head to Tampa to face off against the Spartans in the first Sunshine State Conference matchup.
