SAINT LEO, FL – The Saint Leo Softball team falls in the first game of the regionals versus Auburn Montgomery 2-6.

The Lions will be taking on West Alabama on May 12th at 1:00pm.

The game started well for the Lions as they scored early in the second inning off an Alex Hare single into left field that was able to bring in
Kendyl Crean to solidify the early lead.
Â
In the third inning,
Madyson Coe laid a sacrifice bunt that brought
Briana Neal to third base but thanks to a throwing error by the Warhawks, Neal was able to advance all the way home and give the Lions a 2-0 lead.

The Warhawks took advantage of a Lions' throwing error in the sixth inning and were able to use the momentum to close out the inning with a 3-2 lead.

The Lions were not able to bring the game back into their grasps and the Warhawks finished on top 6-2.

The Lions continue their regional play versus West Alabama at 1:00pm to see who continues post-season play and whose season is over.
