VALDOSTA, GA- The Saint Leo baseball team traveled to face #19 Valdosta State for a midweek non-conference showdown. The Lions fell to the Blazers, 7-2.

The Lions now sit at 22-16 on the season.

Kaelan Racculia got the start on the mound for the Lions for their midweek battle. Racculia pitched 2.1 innings of work, striking out one batter. The Blazers would get on the board early jumping out to a 3-0 lead to end Racculia's evening.

Buck Anderson got Saint Leo on the board in the third inning with a one run triple to left field to score
Zach Benson.

#19 Valdosta State would answer back extending their lead to 7-1.

Giuseppe Arcuri would drive in the second run of the evening for the Lions in the top of the seventh inning with an RBI single to left field.

The Lions will hit the road to St. Petersburg, Florida for a Sunshine State Conference weekend series against Eckerd College. The first game between the Lions and Tritons is set for Friday, April 21
st. First pitch is scheduled for 6 P.M.
