SAINT LEO, FL - In a thrilling matchup at the Marion Bowman Center, the Lions emerged victorious against Francis Marion with a final score of 107-99. The Lions displayed great teamwork and resilience, securing a well-deserved win in front their home crowd.
The first half saw both teams battling fiercely, with Saint Leo maintaining a narrow lead of 46-36 at halftime.
Logan Ryan emerged as a key player for the Lions, finishing the game with 21 points, shooting an efficient 57% from the field
. Kanon Koster,
Grant Disken, and
Cantia Rahming also made significant contributions, with Rahming recording a double-double with 13 points and an outstanding 12 rebounds.
The Lions had a well-balanced attack with six players scoring double figures this afternoon. The Lions shot an efficient 62% from the floor, 43% from the 3-point line and 79% from the charity stripe. The Lions' bench played a crucial role, adding 27 points to the team's total.

"That's a great offense of showing the ball moved by our pace was outstanding and this entire weekend our shots have started to fall. Cantia had his third straight double-double, we had a nice combination of inside out with Joseph, Kanon and Cantia, paired with our guards who knocked down open shots, commented Head Coach
Lance Randall. "Once again, our bench was a great spark. I thought defensively we were really good for about 30, 35 minutes, in a very fast paced high possession game. I was proud of the way we responded".
The game had intense moments, with the lead changing hands and the score tied multiple times. The Lions demonstrated their resilience and determination, ultimately securing the win with strong defensive plays, highlighted by four blocks and six steals as a team.
The Lions now hold a 2-2 record, setting a positive tone for the upcoming Sunshine State Conference matchups. The Lions look to carry that momentum over as they compete in the Mocs Thanksgiving Classic.
The Green and Gold will take on University of North Georgia next Friday Nov. 24
th in the first game of the tournament. Tipoff is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. in at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL.
