SAINT LEO, FL - In a back-and-forth clash at the Marion Bowman Center, the Georgia College Bobcats managed to edge out a victory against the Lions with a final score of 97-92. The game was a battle all night long with the Lions showing their grit and perseverance throughout.

Right from the tip-off, the Bobcats and the Lions engaged in a fast-paced and tightly contested battle. The first half showcased a high-level offensive display, with Georgia College shooting at 45% from the field, including 36% from beyond the arc. Saint Leo responded with a solid 61% field goal percentage, demonstrating their offensive prowess.

"That was a very good offensive team tonight, but we struggled to do the little things on defense, and that compounded our problems on that end of the court," commented Head Coach
Lance Randall. "It was good to see Grant and Logan come alive, and Cantia had another very good game. Amar and Jeremy provided some toughness off the bench tonight. We have to embrace the hard things that go with winning."

Despite the loss, the Lions put up a valiant effort, with
Grant Disken leading the charge with 23 points, showcasing accuracy from both beyond the arc and the free-throw line.

Kanon Koster and
Cantia Rahming contributed 17 and 15 points, respectively, displaying the Lions' offensive depth.
Cantia Rahming was dominant on the glass again, securing 10 rebounds on the night. The second half of the game witnessed an even more intense battle, with both teams exchanging the lead 11 times. The Lions, fueled by the passion of the home crowd, fought hard until the final buzzer, showing resilience and determination.

Despite falling short, The Lions displayed impressive teamwork, with notable performances from Disken, Koster, and Rahming. While Georgia College secured the win, the Lions' performance left fans eager to witness their future matchups in the Sunshine State Conference.
