Melbourne, Fla. – In its season rematch against Florida Tech, the Saint Leo University volleyball completed a stunning comeback snapping a 10-game skid, defeating the Panthers 3-2 at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center. The Lions complete the season sweep against SSC rival Florida Tech

The Lions found themselves down two sets in this matchup losing both very closely 23-25 and 22-25.

The Lions came roaring back in the third and fourth set amping up the pressure offensively while also getting great defensive production. The claimed each of the two sets 25-23.

This back-and-forth affair came down to the fifth and final set. The two teams were deadlocked at a score of 9-9 but the Lions were able to close it out on a 6-0 run to capture the victory 15-9.

Oliwia Durka had a big night recording a season high in kills (29) and digs (11) to lead the Lions to a big win. Senior
Jeanette Henderson also had a season high of her own with 31 digs on the night. Â

The Green & Gold look to keep this momentum into tomorrow's matchup as they get back on the road and travel to Winter Park, FL to take on Rollins College for the second time this year. The Lions swept the Tars the last matchup at home earlier this season. Â
