Winter Park, Fla. – The Saint Leo University volleyball team (9-13, 4-9 SSC) falls in a road matchup against Rollins College (14-10, 6-7 SSC). The Tars took the match 3-0 against Saint Leo by set scores of 18-25, 26-28, 19-25.
The Lions were led in kills by
Madi Certain and
Reagan Hopp each with 12 and 10 respectively.
Kennedy Deluca and
Margaret Schirm finished right behind them with five kills of her own.
Margaret Schirm led the Lions defensively with five blocks on the night. She was assisted by four other Lions each with two blocked a piece.
Tajma Muharemovic orchestrated the Saint Leo offense with a team-high 35 assists.
Jeanette Henderson also pitched in 10 digs of her own.
The Lions return home on Tuesday, Oct. 31 to take on the Spartans of University of Tampa for the second time this season. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Marion Bowman Activities Center.
