SAINT LEO, Fla. –
Bobby Sparling sparked the Saint Leo Lions offense in a 5-1 victory over the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers inside Thomas B. Southard Stadium. Saturday's single game win recorded the four-game series sweep over the Panthers and extended the Lions' win streak to five. The string of wins raised the Green and Gold's season record to 12-7 while Kentucky Wesleyan's season mark lowered to 0-12 overall.

Bobby Sparling got this started for the Lions with a one-run homer in the bottom of the second. The next inning, he struck again, this time with a sacrifice fly to right field to bring home
Buck Anderson.

Yazael Nunez faned into flame with an RBI double scoring
Peyton Meredith in the bottom of the fourth and then coming home himself off Anderson's single in the fourth. The two-run fourth inning extended the Lions' lead to 4-0.

Kentucky Wesleyan tallied one in sixth, which was answered at the bottom of the inning by Saint Leo. It was Nunez again to make his way around the diamond, scoring an unearned run for the final score of 5-1.

Sparling finished the day with a hit, a run, and a pair of RBIs. Nunez compiled a hit, a pair of runs and an RBI.
Buck Anderson led the Green and Gold at the plate with three hits with five at bats.

Saint Leo will look to add to its hot streak in the next series featured inside Thomas B. Southard Stadium. On Tuesday, March 8 the Lions are set to host the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles starting at 6:00 p.m.
