MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Saint Leo Lions fell 4-1 in their first test on the road Friday night at Montevallo. The Green and Gold generated eight shots but only saw one find the back of the net in the 84
th minute. The decision moved the Lions overall record to 0-2-1 while the Falcons raised their record to 2-0-1.
The Falcons tapped their first goal in the 40
th minute of the first half followed by three in the second.
Miguel Fernandez and
Mauro Diaz spearheaded the offensive efforts with two shots apiece. Diaz got the Lions on the board tallying his first goal of the season.
Goalkeeper
Jackson Eckley collected four saves in 90 minutes of work.
Saint Leo returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 2:00 p.m. (ET) at West Alabama.
