SAINT LEO, Fla. - No. 23 Saint Leo softball dropped both ends of the doubleheader late Friday night to No. 6 Rollins, 3-0, 3-1 at University Softball Stadium.
Bayley Williams and
Emily Pilon each tallied a hit on the night where both went for extra bases. Williams knocked a double down the third base line in the first game of the night, while Pilon hit her double in the gap in left center.
Alexandra Hare scored the lone run for the Green and Gold.
Alexis Miniet turned in the team's best on-base-percentage of .500 reaching base three times with one walk and two hit-by-pitch.
Saint Leo scored its lone run in the fourth inning of game two as
Alexandra Hare drew a one-out walk on a full count to give the Lions a baserunner. After Hare stole second,
Emily Pilon dug into the box with two outs and Hare in scoring position and drove her 1-0 pitch to left center, scoring Hare.

Saint Leo University Athletics is keeping our student-athletes healthy and safe by following a number of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes having student-athletes tested or screened on a regular basis, traveling in smaller groups, holding competitions without fans in attendance, avoiding overnight trips, and wearing masks when not competing. These safety standards meet those set by the NCAA Division II and the Sunshine State Conference President's Council. At Saint Leo University, the COVID-19 Incident Command Team also reviews the teams' safety protocol and monitors adherence on a regular basis.
