MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's soccer team suffered a double-overtime 2-1 loss at Barry Saturday night. The Lions saw 
Miguel Fernandez record his third goal of the season during the night's first goal. Despite the early jump by Saint Leo, Barry answered with a goal in the 53rd minute and clinched the Sunshine Conference game in the 107-minute.
 
Saint Leo (3-8-1, 1-4 SSC) was paced by Fernandez with three shots followed by 
Mauro Diaz and 
Lucas Mastroguiseppe with two apiece.
 
Daniel Schaal and Marlon Buck propelled Barry (4-5-1, 3-2) over the Lions. The Buccaneers tallied 21 shots forcing four saves from Lions' goalkeeper 
Riccardo Zarri.
 
Saint Leo will enjoy the midweek bye and then return to the Saint Leo Soccer Field on Saturday, October 16 to host the Florida Tech Panthers during the program's senior night. Saint Leo will honor its senior class before kickoff, which is slated for 7:00 p.m.
