SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's soccer team came up short against Sunshine State Conference foe, Rollins, 2-1, Wednesday night at the Saint Leo Soccer Field.
Saint Leo (3-7-1, 1-3 SSC) saw
Federico Tellechea take the first shot at the Tars' net followed later by
Miguel Fernandez.
Noah Kvifte rounded off the Green and Gold's three takes.
Meanwhile, the Rollins (5-2-2, 2-1-1 SSC) offense took 18 shots, forcing five saves from the Lions' goalkeeper,
Riccardo Zarri. Mason Lamb netted both goals for the Tars. Lamb found the top right corner of the net in the 21
st minute to give Rollins the early lead. He added some endurance in the 74
th minute, finishing a ball crossed by Tyler Nagy.
The Green and Gold will regroup and prepare for their road trip to Barry on Saturday, October 9. Kickoff between the Lions and Buccaneers is set for 6:00 p.m.
