SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 16 Saint Leo Lions saw a tied game with the No. 12 East Stroudsburg Warriors slip through their hands in the second half. University Turf Stadium was packed with fans for the first lacrosse action of the decade under the lights. Despite the Lions efforts, the Warriors edged the Lions, 14-10 in the top-20 showdown.
Erin Davis was tremendous. The senior goalkeeper earned 17 saves, nine coming from the first half. The last save of the first marked Davis' 300
th career save. Her work was the third most saves the Saint Leo women's lacrosse program has ever seen in a single game. She added two caused turnovers and team-high five ground balls to her big night.
Off the draw,
Ashley Salvett captured six draw controls. Saint Leo and East Stroudsburg each finished the night with 13 draws. Despite the leveled draw stat, the Warriors slung 41 shots over the Lions 28.
Janee DeLuca broke out four goals and two assists for a six-point game.
Kaci Archer tallied a hat-trick off four shots and
Ashlee Wilsynski netted a pair and one assist.
Antonella Mikolyuk joined the fun, scoring her first collegiate goal.

Saint Leo and East Stroudsburg went into the halftime break with five goals apiece. DeLuca found Archer, who found the back of the net for the Lions only lead of the game, 6-5. The Warriors responded, dishing out a pair of four goal runs smothering a lone Green and Gold goal. East Stroudsburg's offensive onslaught put Saint Leo behind by six goals, 13-7, with 12 minutes left on the clock. Saint Leo was able to net three more before the final horn but it wouldn't be enough to close the gap.

Saint Leo will turn around quickly to host Saint Anselm on Sunday, March 28 starting at 1 p.m. in University Turf Stadium.
