NAPLES, Fla. – The No. 23 Saint Leo women's lacrosse team met the Roberts Wesleyan Red Hawks at Barron Collier High School on Saturday afternoon. Saint Leo rallied just in time to steal the game from Roberts Wesleyan in a tight 16-15 final. The Green and Gold slashed a six-goal gap while holding the Northern visitors to three goals in the second half to cash in the comeback victory.

Saint Leo was paced by
Ashlee Wilsynski who netted the game-winner to round off a five goal performance. Wilsynski drew four free position shots in which she converted three. The freshman standout also won four draw controls and four ground balls.
Janee DeLuca helped jumpstart the offense with a hat-trick off six shots. The senior attacker caused one turnover and picked up a team-high five ground balls.
Sam Nolan,
Kaci Archer, and
Meghan Bomleny each scored a pair.

Off the draw,
Delaney Chrisco won eight while
Ashley Salvett snagged five. Salvett also picked up a team-high five ground balls alongside DeLuca.

In the net,
Erin Davis earned seven saves seeing 30 shots in 60 minutes of work.

Roberts Wesleyan grabbed a confident start finding the back of the net four consecutive times before the Lions could answer. The quick started carried the Red Hawks to a 12-8 halftime lead over the Lions.

Saint Leo saw one more goal by Roberts Wesleyan before stringing together a four-goal run compiled by four different sticks.

Down by two (15-13) with 8:12 left on the clock,
Lia Lamendola busted out an unassisted goal and then assisted
Meghan Bomleny's equalizer. With less than three minutes remaining,
Sam Nolan caused a turnover, picked it up and dished it out to
Ashlee Wilsynski, who went coast-to-coast for the game-winner.
