SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference 2019 Women's Tennis All-Conference Teams honored four Saint Leo women's tennis players appearing on three different teams:
Marta Vicens Miquel (singles first team),
Kristyna Jurkova and
Andrea Ivanovic (doubles first team),
Nina Furmaniak (singles second team) and
Kristyna Jurkova (singles second team).
Marta Vicens Miquel earned back-to-back appearances on the All-SSC singles first team. Following her 2018 Freshman of the Year selection, the Port de Pollensa, Spain product notched another first team season going 16-7 in the top slot for the Lions.
Kristyna Jurkova and
Andrea Ivanovic were one of three pairs selected for the league's doubles first team. The dynamic duo recorded a 13-5 record in first doubles, defeating three nationally ranked opponents.
Honors continued for Jurkova in singles play as the junior from the Czech Republic went 15-7 at the number two spot while also adding a win in first singles.
Nina Furmaniak had a tremendous freshman campaign in the Green and Gold. Furmaniak's 17-3 record in third singles along with a second singles victory earned the rookie a singles second team all-conference selection.
