SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 14 Saint Leo Lions were unhinged by the Tampa Spartans, who are receiving votes in the national poll, 17-8 on Saturday. The Sunshine State Conference rival put together a 10-goal run that lasted 24 minutes spading from the second and fourth quarters. The offensive onslaught lowered the Lions overall record to 7-5, 2-2 in the SSC. Tampa improved its season mark to 10-4, 4-0 in the SSC.
CJ Stowell, assisted by
Charlie Kurtenbach, opened the second quarter with an equalizer goal; 5-5. The Spartans opened their 10-goal run with four to close the second quarter, followed by four unanswered goals in the third, and two goals to open the fourth.

Philip Buque and
Ryan Marek each put one away for the Lions in the fourth to reach the Green and Gold's eight-goal count.
