SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 4 Saint Leo Lions were upset by the No. 40 Embry-Riddle Eagles at the Saint Leo Tennis Center on Wednesday. The 4-2 loss moved the Green and Gold's record to 15-7, 5-3 in the Sunshine State Conference. The Eagles won the doubles match point in a flight no. 1 tie-breaker; 7-6 (7-3). At Flight no. 3
Leonardo Vega and
David Perez recorded a 6-3 decision.
Willem Van Den Akker cruised past his fourth singles opponent; 6-3, 6-0. Meanwhile,
Aurel Ciocanu at second singles battled to win a three-set victory; 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
Embry-Riddle clinched the match taking six singles; 6-3, 6-2.
