Box Score TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 3 Saint Leo women's tennis downed Tampa 5-2 on Wednesday to raise the Lions overall record to 16-4, 6-2 in the Sunshine State Conference.
 
Saint Leo grabbed the doubles team point with wins coming from the top two flights. Flight no. 1 #13 Kristyna Jurkova and Andrea Ivanovic earned a 6-2 win followed by flight no. 2 Nina Furmaniak with a 6-4 decision.
 
In singles action, first singles #54 Marta Vicens Miquel (6-2, 6-0), second singles #47 Kristyna Jurkova (6-1, 6-3), third singles Furmaniak (6-1, 6-3) and sixth singles Anna Marija Bukina (6-1, 6-0) earned the Lions' remaining four team points.  
 
Saint Leo continues play on the road, set to face Florida Southern on Tuesday, April 16 at 3 p.m.
