SAINT LEO, Fla. – Under the lights at University Softball Stadium, Saint Leo softball dropped the series opener to Embry-Riddle 4-1 after a four run sixth inning by the Eagles.

Sarah Pauscher led the Lions from the plate with three hits including one RBI single in the third inning.
Kendyl Crean registered the lone run for the Green and Gold after reaching base in the bottom of the third and advancing to third base on a throwing error by the pitcher. Crean later came in on Pauscher's single to left field.
Auria Mounts got the nod for the Lions and suffered the loss moving to 7-6 on the year after 5.1 innings of work, while
Sadi Avants came in and tossed 1.2 innings of work allowing two runs on four hits. Mounts tallied two strikeouts as Avants picked up one.
Embry-Riddle saw Jayla Jackson go the distance and earning her sixth win of the year as Maggie Scott led the Eagles from the pate going 2-for-4 with one run scored. Lisa Hop, Lia Johnson and Reanne Drayton all crossed the plate for a run.
