ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Saint Leo softball swept the doubleheader series at Flagler with a 4-2 first game and an 8-0 decision in five innings to extend its win streak to four games.

Shyanne DuBois paced the Green and Gold going 3-for-5 from the plate with two runs scored ahead of
Ashley Morris who went 3-for-7 with three runs scored.
Kendyl Crean logged the Lions long shot with a three-run homerun in game two to finish the day at 2-for-6 with three RBI.
Auria Mounts and
Sadi Avants tossed both complete games earning wins as Mounts moves to 9-6 and Avants 3-1. Mounts tossed the complete seven inning game with seven strikeouts as Avants used a shortened five inning game to her advantage for the no-hit complete game shutout.
Game 1 – Saint Leo 4, Flagler 2
Saint Leo opened the game with a run in the first and second to take a quick 2-0 lead after one and a half innings played. Flagler answered and tied things up with a two-run home run in the bottom of the second as the two teams would play four scoreless frames following the 2-2 tie. The Lions would plate two in the top of the seventh to take a 4-2 lead before
Auria Mounts closed the door with a 1-2-3 bottom of the seventh.
Alyssa Wash and
Ashley Morris led the Green and Gold with two hits as
Deanna Falciglia,
Shyanne DuBois,
Kacie Kelly and
Kendyl Crean all tallied one. Morris scored two of the Lions' four runs as Wash and
Bailey Burk were credited with the other two runs scored.
Mounts earned the win while tying a season-high with seven strikeouts in her seven innings of work.
Game 2 –
The Lions continued to roll to start game two as they scored two runs in the opening frame. Saint Leo added three in the top of the third on a three-run jack by
Kendyl Crean to extend the lead to 5-0 over the Saints. The Lions would continue to add to their lead scoring three in the top of the fifth to induce the run rule, putting pressure on Flagler.
Sadi Avants earned the win after tossing the complete game no-hit shutout.
