SAINT LEO, Fla. – The seventh ranked Saint Leo women's tennis team open its 2019 season with a home match Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. against Gustavus Adolphus at the Saint Leo Tennis Center. 
 
2019 Roster…
In 2018, returning senior Madeline Gauthier finished 19-5 in singles. She went 3-0 at Flight No. 3 and 16-5 at Flight No. 4  
Also returning is junior Kristyna Jurkova finished 21-3 in singles at Flight No. 2. She opened last season 10-0 in singles play and closed the out the year on a singles six-match win streak.
Sophmore Marta Vicens Miquel returns to the court for the Lions. Miquel earned Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year as a first-team SSC member and South Region Rookie of the Year. She finished season ranked #59 by the (ITA) in singles.
 
Sunshine State Conference…
Under the direction of third year head coach Chad Berryhill, the Lions were seeded third among the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Coaches Preseason Poll. Last year, Saint Leo finished with a 19-7 overall record, 7-3 record in the SSC.
