Box Score SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team opened the 2019 season with a 7-0 sweep over Gustavus Adolphus on Tuesday.

Doubles Flight No. 1 #9 Kristyna Jurkova and Nina Furmaniak earned a 6-3 win. Doubles Flight No. 2 Andrea Ivanovic and Marta Vicens Miquel rolled over second doubles opponents, 6-0. Doubles Flight No. 3 Anna Marija Bukina and Madeleine Gauthier registered a 6-2 win.

Vincens Miquel led the Lions' singles competition in the one spot, 6-1, 6-1, Jurkova won second singles 6-1, 6-1, followed by Furmaniak in the third slot; 6-0, 6-0.  Ivanovic blanked fourth singles opponent 6-0, 6-0 while Gauthier in five recorded a 6-3, 6-3 win.  Jedrychowski clinched the sweep with a sixth singles victory 6-0, 7-5.

Saint Leo returns to the court on Friday, Feb. 8 at Columbus State.
