Caitlin Strong's second half performance led the Saint Leo women's soccer program to a 2-1 win at West Alabama on Sunday. After scoring the Lions' equalizer in the 59
th minute, Strong connected with
Bailey Hern who tallied the game-winner in the 84
th minute of play.

Saint Leo (1-1) and West Alabama (1-1-1) left the scoreboard unmarked in the first 45 minutes of play.
Julia Ortiz earned four saves including a penalty kick stop in the first half alone. The junior goalkeeper had a day with nine total saves after seeing 10-of 20 on frame shots. Â

Anele Komani of the West Alabama Tigers tallied her second goal of the season, assisted by Ellie McKenzie in the 55
th minute. Four minutes later, Saint Leo generated an offensive play, surrounding the Tiger's net. There,
Caitlin Strong drilled a deflected ball to the back of West Alabama's net, earning her first collegiate goal.

th minute, the freshman midfielder placed a threw ball at the feet of sophomore forward
Bailey Hern, who cut through a pair of defenders and tallied the game-winner.
