Dozzell’s two-goal debut lifts men’s soccer 2-1 over Regis

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Junior transfer Dion Dozzell showcased two goals in his debut as a Lion in the Saint Leo men's soccer 2-1 victory over Regis (Colo.) on Thursday at Rollins. The neutral site win raised the Lions' record to 1-0. The Rangers record lowered to 0-1.

Saint Leo was the first to find the back of the net. In the 18th minute of play, transfer forward Elias Niesigk connected with Dozzell. Regis netted the equalizer within a five-minute window, lending a 1-1 score at the break.

In the 60th minute, Dozzell struck again, this time weaving through traffic on the left side of the field. He launched a 25-yard ball which sailed to the upper right corner of the Ranger's net. The Lions held the lead for the remainder of the game.
