CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  For the third-straight year senior
Colett Rampf of the Saint Leo track team can call herself All-American as she took third in the women's 3,000m steeplechase Friday night at the 2018 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Charlotte, N.C. Rampf used a strong kick on the final lap to pass two competitors to finish in the bronze medal position.

Event winner Alicja Konieczek of Western State set a new NCAA Division II record in the event as she completed the distance in 9:47.72. Eilish Flanagan of Adams State finished second, just 15 one-hundredths of a second ahead of Rampf, at 10:00.81. Rampf edged fourth place Aneta Konieczek, the younger sister of the winner, by just six one hundredths of a second as Rampf crossed the line in a school record time of 10:00.96. An. Konieczek took fourth at 10:01.02.

Rampf will return to the track tomorrow night at 6:35 pm as she competes in her final collegiate event, the 5,000m.
