Track and Field Competes at Eagle Invite

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Saint Leo University track and field competed at the Eagles Invite hosted by Sunshine State Conference foe Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.  
 

Women 

The 100m saw freshman Rayona Ocasio and Mia Lewis run times of 12.70 and 12.71, a personal best for Lewis.  

Freshman Kansas Henry placed fourth overall running a colligate best of 25.37 in the 200m, Henry also placed 10th overall in the 400m with a mark of 60.08. Freshman Giuliana Adonteng also ran a personal best in the 200 of 26.04, placing 11th overall.  

The 800m saw personal bests from freshman Alisah Ward and Alexis Morgan with times of 2:20.92 and 2:28.39.  

Virgina Smith led the way in the 400m hurdles with a personal best of 1:08.69 placing 5th overall, followed by fellow freshman Hailey Newton 1:11.03 in 8th, Newton also took 4th in the high jump with a mark of 1.48m.   

Men 

The 100m saw freshman Fred Filsaime lead the way with a personal best of 10.81. Freshman Amir-Styles Benjamin led the lions in the 400m, crossing the line in 49.76. A personal best followed by freshman Adon Elienist ran a 49.99.  

Freshman Angelo Acosta crossed the line in 800m with a personal best of 1:58.97, followed by Benjamin Henry in 1:58.99. Jason Bracero Jr also ran a personal best of 2:01.43.  

Freshman Paul Rivera placed sixth overall in the 5000m, running a personal best of 15:36.28.  

The men's 110m hurdles saw freshman Joshua Warren, crossing the line in 14.83, and junior Keyon Wilson in 15.57. Warren also placed 5th overall in the 400m hurdles in 56.13.  

The men's 4x100m relay team placed first overall with a season best time of 41.11.  

The track and field team is back on the track for the USF Alumni Invitational on March. 20th
