SAINT LEO, Fla. –  The Saint Leo Lions fell short against Assumption 21-12 on Friday. The Greyhounds' eight goal finishing run overcame the barn burner narrative. The offensive explosion forced the Lions first trip to the loss column of the 2018 season.

Delaney Chrisco netted five goals ­­­converting 3-3 free position shots. She grabbed two ground balls, four draw controls and caused a turnover.

Sarah Pierson racked up nine draw controls, eight ground balls, three caused turnovers and two goals.

Erin Davis saw the first 10:12 minutes of action allowing four goals, earning one save. Rebecca Halley closed out the game in the net, tallying 49:48 minutes of action. She tallied 12 saves while allowing 17 goals.

1H | Delaney Chrisco's free position shot goal raised the Lions 3-2 over the Greyhounds. The back and forth game continued as five different equalizers were scored. 2H | A quick opening goal by Lexie Walstad cut the Greyhounds' lead to one. Assumption flooded the Lions defensive end off four straight draw controls leading to three goals, 13-9. Katherine Larson's coast to coast goal slashed the Greyhounds' scoring streak. Delaney Chrisco picked up on the momentum change scoring within the minute. Sarah Pierson added a third goal to Saint Leo's run during a man-up opportunity, 13-12 at 15:15.
