Leslie Ferguson's four goal game was not enough to lift the No. 17 Saint Leo Lions over the No.18/No.19 New York Institute of Technology Bears in a 12-6 loss. The Bears entered the game ranked No. 18 by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) while No. 19 by US Lacrosse Magazine. Saint Leo played host as No. 17 voted by US Lacrosse Magazine. Thursday's non-conference loss lowers the Lions overall record to 7-2.
Ferguson netted four goals, two off free position shots while she picked up four ground balls and caused two turnovers. The junior from Marietta, Georgia is on the heels of breaking two school season records in goals and points. Her four goal game raises her season count to 37, followed by 10 assists for a 47 points. The current school record stands at 45 goals, 52 points.

Erin Davis posted a stellar 12 save game but was forced to take the loss.
