SAINT LEO, Fla. – Late runs in game one and early runs in game two allowed for No. 10 Saint Leo to sweep Caldwell in two non-conference games at University Softball Stadium by scores of 5-0 and 8-0 (six innings).

Auria Mounts and
Sara Neuman picked up wins in the circle as Mounts tossed the complete seven innings in game one with just two hits allowed for the shutout. Neuman tossed the complete shutout in game two allowing three hits in six innings.

Mounts edged Neuman for strikeouts, five to four, where Mounts held opponents to a .087 batting average with Neuman at .143.

Playing in game two only,
Shyanne DuBois went 3-for-3 with one run and one double while driving in four RBI.

Sommer Pollard,
Ciara McCoy,
Kacie Kelly and
Ashley Morris all picked up three hits on the day where Pollard and McCoy went 3-for-5 as Kelly went 3-for-6 and Morris 3-for-7.

Morris tagged the lone triple of the day where
Amanda James joined Kelly and DuBois with a double.
Alyssa Wash hit the lone home run of the game where she jump started things in game one.

Game One - #10 Saint Leo 5, Caldwell 0
Auria Mounts and Sara Bearden held the game scoreless against each other before
Alyssa Wash broke things open with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth.

After the home run, the Cougars were rattled as the Lions went on to score four more runs in the inning. Mounts followed the five-run fifth for the Green and Gold with a 1-2-3 top of the sixth. After a single up the middle started the seventh, Mounts retired the side with a pop up, and two ground outs.

Game Two - #10 Saint Leo 8, Caldwell 0 (6 innings)
The Lions jumped all over the Cougars in game two with one run in the first, four in the second before two in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Sara Neuman pitched six strong innings for the Green and Gold to win game no. four on the year.

Ashley Morris got things started with a triple in the bottom of the first before scoring on a
Kacie Kelly single up the middle.
Â
Saint Leo posted four runs in the second inning to take a 5-0 lead early in the game.
Shyanne DuBois singled and advanced on the throw, scoring
Sommer Pollard and
Bailey McKenna.
Ciara McCoy and DuBois would come in to score after a throwing error by the catcher to make it 5-0.

Two scoreless frames in the third and fourth would be followed by two more Saint Leo runs in the fifth. DuBois' double to left field scored Pollard and
Alexis Miniet to make it 7-0 Lions with two outs.

After two quick outs in the sixth inning for Neuman, the sophomore got the final out with a strikeout.
Â
Kelly started things in the sixth inning with a double to left center before scoring the final run of the game on a
Deanna Falciglia single up the middle.

No. 10 Saint Leo travels to St. Petersburg, Fla. on March 16-17 to take on Sunshine State Conference foe Eckerd. Game time for Friday's game is set for 7 p.m.
