SAINT LEO, Fla. – With two outs and trailing by a run, senior
Bailey McKenna stepped up to the plate and took a 2-1 pitch straight up the middle to score
Sarah Pauscher and
Maddy Lynn to walk-off in game two of the Saturday twinbill. The Lions took both games Saturday to win the series 2-1 over the Nova Southeastern Sharks.

Auria Mounts moved to 9-4 on the year after two wins in 7.2 innings of work. Mounts recorded six strikeouts in her two appearances while giving up just one run on six hits.

Brittany Creamer went 2-for-2 while
Bethany Kursch and
Bailey Burk both went 1-for-1 as all three Lions finished with a 1.000-batting average.
Kacie Kelly and
Bailey McKenna each led the team with two runs scored.

McKenna paced the Green and Gold with three RBI, including the two winnings runs in game two. McKenna finished her day 6-for-7 from the plate.Â

Game One - #10 Saint Leo 4, Nova Southeastern 1
Auria Mounts pitched the complete game picking up five strikeouts where
Bailey McKenna went 3-for-3 including one run and one RBI.

The Lions used a four-run second inning to jump all over the Sharks. McKenna's single to right center got things started scoring
Maddy Lynn before
Brittany Creamer kept things going with a single to score McKenna and
Sommer Pollard.
Ashley Morris' single scored the final run of the inning as Creamer came around to score.

Mounts held the Sharks in check allowing just one hit in the third and fourth before back-to-back 1-2-3 innings. Nova Southeastern scored its lone run of the game in the seventh inning on a two-out single to right field.
Kacie Kelly snagged the final out on a liner to end the game.

Game Two - #10 Saint Leo 7, Nova Southeastern 6
The Lions would use three pitchers to earn the win after scoring two runs in the seventh to win 7-6. Mounts would pitch 0.2 innings and pick up one strikeout where
Sara Neuman got the start going 2.1 innings.
Alison Mitts came in and tossed 4.0 strong innings allowing just one run on four hits and tallying three strikeouts.

Sarah Pauscher and
Bailey McKenna would tie for team lead 3-for-4 where they both tacked on two RBI and scored one run.

Saint Leo scored two runs in the first inning before one in the third to take a 3-0 lead. Nova Southeastern answered with five in the third to take their first lead of the day, 5-3. After scoring one in the fourth, the Lions headed to the final three innings down 5-4.

Nova Southeastern scored the go-ahead run in the seventh, setting up the Lions walk-off opportunity.

Sarah Pauscher started things off with a double down the left field line before
Maddy Lynn singled to third. With two outs, two on and a 2-1 count, senior
Bailey McKenna lined one up the middle to score Pauscher from third and Lynn from second to pick up another walk-off.
