SAINT LEO, Fla. – It took 10 innings in game one and just six innings in game two as No. 10 Saint Leo softball swept the doubleheader from Flagler at University Softball Stadium Tuesday night. The Lions walked off in the bottom of the 10th against the Saints, 4-3, before using an 11-3 game in the second to end the game in the sixth inning.

Kacie Kelly led the charge offensively going 4-for-7 from the plate with four runs scored and one double. Kelly drove in one run on the day while tagging five bases.
Ashley Morris tied Kelly in most runs scored on the day with four as
Alexis Miniet and
Shyanne DuBois each recorded two.

Auria Mounts got the nod in game one and pitched the distance, 10.0 innings, allowing three runs on six hits with seven strikeouts for the win.

Sara Neuman started game two and went 4.1 innings with three runs on five hits with two strikeouts before
Alison Mitts came in and worked 1.2 innings and closed the door on the Saints.

In game one, it would be senior
Bailey McKenna who would be the hero in the bottom of the 10th after bases were loaded with two walks and a single before she ripped one through the left side to end the game at 4-3.

Saint Leo got off to a good start, scoring two runs in the first inning before giving up three runs in the third. The Lions got one back in the fourth to tie it before five scoreless innings between the teams.

In game two, The Lions scored three runs in the first and two in the second to take a 5-0 lead. After a scoreless third, the Saints scored two in the fourth on a two run home run before tacking on another in the fifth.

Saint Leo got four back in the bottom of the fifth after
Alexis Miniet and
Brittany Creamer combined for a single and double, respectively scoring
Sarah Pauscher, DuBois, Miniet and McKenna.

The Lions "walked off" in the bottom of the sixth after Kelly got things started with a single.
Bailey Burk walked to put two on before the wheels fell off for the Saints.
Sarah Pauscher was hit by a pitch to load the bases before
Amanda James, who was pinch hitting, was hit by a pitch to score Kelly. McKenna stepped to the plate with bases loaded once again on the day and delivered, getting hit by a pitch to walk off and run rule the Saints.

No. 10 Saint Leo (14-3, 3-2 SSC) returns to action Friday, March 2 in Daytona Beach, Fla. when the Lions take on Embry-Riddle at 7 p.m.
